Letting Out My Inner Weirdo

Beyond the Buzz with Kellee Wynne Hustle free multipassionate course creator business issue 6

Hey , this is what's on my mind today: There must be a way out of the matrix. And I can't be the only one who thinks this?

When I decided to launch Beyond the Buzz, I knew what I really wanted it to be about, but I guess I kinda chickened out. I went with "professional creative business marketing that adds value".

Now, don't get me wrong, the first few issues were packed full of valuable content. These were things that needed to be said. But I don't want to create more "valuable content." It sucks all the fun out of my work. It's devoid of personality, lacking the deeper meaning that I crave and missing the honest truth about how ridiculously hard it is to be a Gen X woman trying to be heard and seen in a world that has clearly forgotten us.

Making myself write those proper newsletter articles is probably why I haven't had one email show up in your inbox on time since I began in January.

Ok, let me be honest about that. I fiiiinalllly went and saw a professional about *gestures wildly to everything* and got myself a shiny new ADHD diagnosis. Not that I had any doubt, I just didn't want to be so damn trendy. But what does this say about procrastinating writing my newsletter that *I* decided I want to do for my business? It means there will be NO focus unless I'm actually excited to do the work.

So, what do I really want Beyond the Buzz to be?

  • A no holds barred scream into the black hole of online marketing to see if anyone is actually listening anymore. I'll report back accordingly.
  • An actual pull-back-the-curtains and share everything, not just the pretty parts. The still sitting in my coffee stained sweats at 2pm, writing from my dog hair covered lumpy couch, while still tired half the day because I stayed up too late playing another mobile game to avoid my feelings - that kind of not pretty parts. (Don't worry, there's more behind the scenes and I will undoubtedly share too much.)
  • A calling card to my fellow Gen X Women and our Elder Millennial Sisters who are done, D.O.N.E. with the bullshit. The patriarchy has sucked us dry. I'm ready for a revolt, but only if I can do it in my coffee stained sweats from my dog hair covered lumpy couch. I'm too tired to put on real pants to have to go anywhere. It's either home or Nepal, there is no inbetween, So I'm afraid the rampage has to happen from my keyboard.
  • A guide to building a business of passion, purpose and profit without relying so heavily on the matrix of algorithms where the tech bros control everything with their dopamine addicting, anxiety inducing, society manipulating, toxic social media apps. (Why don't you tell us how you really feel, Kellee?)
  • A hit in your inbox that you actually look forward to every week. In fact you love it enough to organize a special folder or tab in your inbox where you move all these emails so you can SAVE them to read again later. 👀

Do you FEEL me?

I've been running my own business for a very long time. In fact before I officially began Kellee Wynne Studios in 2014, I was trying on all the hats and exploring many different ways of making my own dollar (I absolutely will be telling you about all of it, the good, bad and the toilet scrubbing ugly in future newsletters).

I have an old soul of an entrepreneur and I am the worlds biggest idea gal. My new psychiatrist asked me in the eval if I get distracted by new ideas and I told her that I can come up with a hundred new ideas before breakfast everyday. My brain literally never stops. (That is a big sign of ADHD, by the way.)

Please let me share them all with you. I have a bank of experience and a trail of successful clients. It would be a shame to keep this all to myself.

But before we go there, I want you to hold me to the promise that I will continue to show up authentically. Actually I hate that word because it's overused and no one even knows what it means anymore. Please just let me be my real, painfully, embarrassingly, honest self as I lay a new path for how we do business Beyond the Buzz.

Beyond the Buzz quote words are vibrations

What's next now that I've come out of the "professional business" closet and revealed my true self?

Delivery - No set schedule, rather it'll be delivered to your inbox at random times during the week when I can channel the right message and info that needs to be shared in the moment - oops, that's not how I've been taught, but it's how I write. It's how I always did my Instagram posts, no scheduling ever. Just from the heart with whatever needs to be said. Also, this helps my brain think of it as not much of a "have to" but a "want to."

Purpose- I'll still be writing your hustle-free newsletter but with a clearer objective of actually getting "beyond the buzz" - the buzz of social media, the buzz of hype marketing, the buzz of a hustle bro/boss babe culture, the buzz of pretty people on Instagram selling you unrealistic lifestyle businesses, the buzz of grinding to be part of the status quo. We don't want the same ol' bullshit so why would I serve you the same old bullshit?

People - While my business started out for artists and I self identify as a multipassionate, I'm about to get a little more specific. I think the best fit for the crazy stuff I'm about to write about will be women (or identifying as) of a certain generation with an intolerance to aging gracefully. It's also probably a better fit if you have an online Creator business (you make content, have courses, a membership, workshops, programs or digital products) and you're sick of fighting with social media to get through the noise but still want to to build an amazing soul aligned business for both impact AND profit. Or you're just here for the entertainment of a full on expose. 🍿🥤👀

Of course everyone is welcome here, but if you want to know who I serve best, then know that weirdos, artists and independent thinkers who are ready for something more are my kind of people.

Coming soon...

  3. Decision fatigue and why it's hard to know what to do next.

  7. The most important things you need to implement for your success so that you are not left behind.

Goodness, if you made it this far, I thank you! You must like this wild ride I'm taking you on. I would love to hear from you - what do these changes mean to you? Just hit reply to this email and we can start a discussion..

Oh, one more thing, I'm opening the doors to my flagship program, Build it Remarkable®, in April. Lately I've been hearing from my students that they just keep getting results from my systems. I mean, I'm not surprised, it's just nice to hear. ;) Because I love getting results for my people, I can only take a limited number in this cohort, so make sure you join the list!

Growth happens best when we use the relationship economy. If you know someone who needs a wake-up call, maybe a biz bestie that feels the weight of being a GenX woman in the hustle bro culture of online business, then please forward this to them. I'm sure they will appreciate it as much as I do. 🙏
